I'm Erin ! I go by ekatearcher on Ravelry and some other craft sites. I'm in college & I spend all my free time knitting, sewing, crocheting, painting, drawing, and making things. (with some running, reading, & music thrown in somewhere.) You can contact me at erinkatearcher@gmail.com.
You're such a beautiful, creative, inspiring person. I wish you would post more often!
ReplyDeleteHi Erin, I'm really inspired by you to learn how to knit as well! I'll also be turning 19 this year and I've been intending to pick up a new skill so I thought knitting would be great. What resources would you recommend? I've tried books from the library but they all seem too complicated D:
ReplyDeleteYoutube is so great for learning. Try just searching "learn to knit". :) Thanks so much!
ReplyDeleteWhat are you studying, art or maybe something else?
ReplyDeleteMy first semester I spent working on a bachelor of fine arts, but I've switched to undeclared and I might study business now. :)
ReplyDeletewow... i'm really impressed with your work.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much! <3
ReplyDeletei came across your blog on ravelry and it's great! you post so much good stuff. any suggestions of other knitting blogs? i think they've become my latest vice. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks so much! If you're not following http://www.yarnharlot.ca/blog/ already, then you're missing out. :) I wish I had more suggestions, but I really do need to find more blogs to follow! Let me know what you come up with! :)
ReplyDeletei have never done this before so i hope you get this, i found you when i typed in how to knit a hat with ear flaps and this tutorial popped up and said she got the pattern from your blog site and said she loved your hats, the only thing different is she kept dpns. Neither of you mentioned the size of needlesor yarn, so i guess one just figures out what they want, i am new to anything besides blankets and scarves. i did do my first scarf/wrap with entrelac stich. that was fun, i have fybromyalgia and do a little of a lot of crafts, this last year knitting is my add on to sewing/embroidery. I think i will love your blog since hats are my new thing, i made my first pair of socks and i loved that. i went skiing last year at telluride and the only knitting shop there has been so encouraging they taught me entrelac when i only new how to knit and purl and sent me yarn and a pattern for my first pair of socks and told me that i would be fine and to call if i needed help, instead i went to the internet, only thing is i changed a few things, I guess, cause the secound sock wasn't exactly like the first sock, i remember making changes but didn't jot down the adjustments, anyway, i am taking them to the shop this year when we go back and ask the questions, which i din't write down because they seemed obvious, now i am not so sure. But i like to take easy things to the seniors down at the city park. They are into their round plastic things, so i thought i would show them the ear flaps and maybe they can add them on to the hats they make, maybe that won't work. i just love the seniors at the parkand am hoping i can find something on your blog I can take to them do. Since the budget has been cut we have to come up with our own entertainment and of course pay for it, those poor people, if they can do it some may not be able to afford it so i am looking for sales all the time and coupons. If nothing else i have found a cool sight for knitting hats, and i do love searching on google and you tube just pops up a list of videos that i guess come from you tube. i have searched for blogs before, that is newer to me. I am disabled with chronic pain, so i can search for this stuff and try to help with projects for the seniors. so thanks for the cool hat projects if not for them for me in the future as i advance. Helps us all take our minds off our own things. You are inspiring. I would love to do a blog on the process of the seniors at the park, i am not so techy, but i know they would love it, maybe i will ask the help there for help on that, they are very nice to all ages but they do not like the situation the seniors are in. We are in Tucson Arizona, we have the most corrupt city Council I have ever heard of. For the past ten years they have been working on a plan to promote our down town. Rio (sounds like) Rio, new, ev, o.Somehow 200 million dollars has disappeareded and yet our parks go down hill. And we have a contaminated piece of land leased to a political family . The city has leased it, nobody mentions it except the radio shows, the land is contaminated and they have leased it for 12 years so far and nothing is done about it. Such is politics. Well thank you for everything:) and i will look up the yarnharlot.ca blog you mentioned. thanks.sorry so long

I love your blog! It inspires me so much! I'm learning how to knit and occasionally I try my hand at painting. It really encourages me to find someone closer to my age that does the same things!
